Jon's Story
Born and raised in Lima, Ohio, Jon came to Cincinnati on a tennis scholarship at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his degree in Finance & Treasury Management. After graduation, he spent eight years as a Professional Tennis Instructor at Beechmont Racquet Club, Turpin Hills Swim & Tennis Club, and Anderson High School — years that taught him the value of discipline, preparation, and showing up every single day.
In 2005, Jon and his brother Brett began investing in real estate, and Jon quickly discovered a new passion. By 2007, he had left the tennis profession, earned his real estate license from Hondros College, and never looked back. In 2009, he founded DeCurtins Realty, LLC, and over the next five years closed 238 transactions totaling nearly $50 million in sales. That early success led to a 2014 merger with ERA Real Solutions Realty, LLC — part of the global ERA brand with over 39,000 agents across 38 countries, owned by Anywhere (NYSE: HOUS).
Today, Jon lives in Newtown’s Ivy Hills neighborhood within the Forest Hills School District with his wife Alysha and their two sons. His deep roots in the community and genuine love for the area give him an understanding of the local market that simply can’t be replicated.

Community Involvement
Jon believes in giving back to the community that has given his family so much. He is an active parishioner at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Newtown and serves as a Commissioner on the Village of Newtown Planning Commission. He previously served on the Parish Council at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, coached the girls’ varsity tennis team at Anderson High School, and hosted charity events for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization that builds and delivers beds for children in need.
When he’s not helping clients or serving the community, you’ll find Jon on the golf course at Ivy Hills Country Club or on the tennis court with family and friends — a reminder of the sport that first brought him to Cincinnati and shaped the competitive, disciplined approach he brings to everything he does.
